Jeffrey Ren, Software Engineer, specializes in Web Development at Kognitiv Edge. He started in the pre health track while studying at University of Nebraska - Lincoln and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and minors in Mathematics and Chemistry but he knew that medical school wasn’t what he wanted to do. So after graduating, he started his career in San Francisco at a coding bootcamp called App Academy. Over the course of 4 months, he learned various coding languages and frameworks that culminated in various full stack web applications. He went on to work at Wayfair to develop their internal messaging application and at Versaterm to help public safety agencies with community outreach. Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys traveling to new places and encountering new cultures. On his travels, he always keeps an eye out for new foods and flavors which has translated into a love for cooking. No matter what he is working on he tries to adopt a beginner’s mindset, striving to always keep an open mind and to avoid letting preconceptions cloud judgment for a better way forward. With this mindset he works to bring efficient and elegant code to government technologies, seeking to contribute to and empower Kognitiv Edge and its clients.
