As the connection between the client and the Kognitiv Edge team, Billy works closely with clients to ensure our products meet their operational needs. He assists in identifying inefficiencies with the goal of maximizing time spent with students and eliminating redundancies in day-to-day tasks.
Before joining Kognitiv Edge, Billy served as a Lead Firearms and Close Quarters Battle Instructor with the Diplomatic Security Service’s Crisis Response Team. Prior to that, he spent 14 years in the U.S. Marine Corps—most of that time within Marine Corps Special Operations Command—as both an Operator and Instructor. Having spent eight consecutive years instructing, Billy developed a sharp eye for spotting inefficiencies and redundant processes that forced instructor staffs to dedicate hours each day to low-value tasks, taking away from meaningful time with their students. His focus has always been to streamline processes, minimize redundancies, and ensure instructors can dedicate their time where it matters most—working directly with their students.
Growing up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Billy has always had a passion for waterfowl hunting. He also competes in USPSA matches and enjoys powerlifting. Billy appreciates the opportunity to continue serving the Special Operations and Law Enforcement communities—now in a different capacity—by assisting instructors who are now in the same position he once was.
